What they needed next was not a redesign, but a <strong>robust, easy-to-manage member portal<\/strong> that could support their growing organization, streamline internal processes, and improve the experience for members, donors, and event attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal was to create an <strong>all-in-one solution<\/strong> that reduced manual administration, eliminated friction for users, and scaled sustainably, all while staying within the Wix ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>PSAND needed a system that could handle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Membership management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Secure member access<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donations and fundraising<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Event registration and tracking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staff workflows and documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All without forcing staff to juggle multiple tools or troubleshoot member logins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Solution: A Custom Wix Member Portal + CRM-Driven Workflows<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Using Wix\u2019s advanced member features, CRM tools, automations, and custom configuration, I built a <strong>centralized member portal<\/strong> that met PSAND\u2019s functional and operational requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact &amp; Membership Management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The foundation of the solution was a streamlined CRM setup that allows PSAND to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage contacts and clearly distinguish <strong>members vs. non-members<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow users to <strong>create, manage, and update their own membership profiles<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide <strong>secure access<\/strong> to a members-only portal without staff needing to troubleshoot passwords or access issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automate <strong>membership notifications and renewals<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support <strong>multiple membership types and pricing tiers<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Track prospects and opportunities for outreach and growth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Members can log in, update their information, and manage their own accounts, significantly reducing administrative overhead for staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Member Directory: Connecting Members Across North Dakota<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A key enhancement to the portal was a <strong>searchable, filterable member directory<\/strong> designed to help members connect with one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The directory includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Profile photos uploaded by members<\/strong> to personalize profiles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Contact email visibility<\/strong> (when enabled) to encourage peer-to-peer connection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>City and state fields<\/strong> tied directly to member profiles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Location-based filtering<\/strong>, allowing members to find others in similar cities or regions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This feature transforms the portal from a static resource into an active community tool, helping members find peers, collaborators, and local support more easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fundraising, Donations &amp; Financial Management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>PSAND also needed a flexible fundraising solution that integrated cleanly with membership data.
