  1. Select the first cell in the range that you want to fill.<\/li>\n

  3. Type a value in the next cell to establish a pattern.\n

    Tip:<\/b>\u00a0For example, if you want the series 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…, type\u00a01<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a02<\/b>\u00a0in the first two cells. If you want the series 2, 4, 6, 8…, type\u00a02<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a04<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

  4. Select the cells that contain the starting values.\n

    Note:<\/b>\u00a0In Excel 2013 and later, the\u00a0Quick Analysis<\/b>\u00a0button is displayed by default when you select more than one cell containing data. You can ignore the button to complete this procedure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

  5. Drag the fill handle\u00a0\"Fill\u00a0across the range that you want to fill.\n
